The articles, answers, and blog posts on this site are meant to help parents make confident decisions about their children's dental care. Here is how that content is created, how you can tell when a clinician on our team has reviewed it, and how we keep it accurate over time.
Who writes our content
Our content is created by the Say Cheez clinical team and supporting writers, grounded in the day-to-day experience of caring for children in our Paramus practice. Dr. Navreet Sidhu, our board-certified pediatric dentist and founder, is the clinical authority behind the pediatric content; orthodontic topics draw on our board-certified orthodontist.
Where a topic calls for it, we draw on established sources — professional guidance from bodies such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association, and peer-reviewed literature — rather than opinion alone. We aim to explain, in plain language, what is well established and where reasonable clinicians may differ.
How our content is medically reviewed
Healthcare content that carries a "medically reviewed" credit was reviewed before publication by a licensed clinician on our team — our pediatric dentist for pediatric topics, and our orthodontist for orthodontic topics. That credit names the reviewer and shows a review date, so you can see who stands behind the information and when it was last checked.
Not every page carries a clinical review, and we don't imply otherwise. Where a post was written and published by the practice rather than vetted by a clinician, it carries the practice as its author and shows no "medically reviewed" credit. If you see a named clinician and a review date, that clinician read and approved that page. If you don't, treat it as general practice information — and call us at (201) 345-3637 about anything specific to your child.
We reference the reviewing clinician by their role on our team, so the credit stays accurate even if a team member changes.
Accuracy, sources, and AI assistance
We may use AI tools to help draft or organize content, but nothing is published on that basis alone — a person on our team reads and edits every page before it goes live. Where a page carries a clinician's review credit, that clinician personally read and approved it and is responsible for the medical accuracy of what you read.

Keeping content current
Dentistry evolves, and so does our content. We recheck articles when guidance changes or when we spot something that could be clearer, and we update the date shown on the page when a meaningful revision is made. If you believe something on this site is out of date, incomplete, or incorrect, we want to know.
