Modern tools, gentler visits
Low-radiation digital X-rays, 3D intraoral scanning, and laser dentistry — chosen for one reason: easier appointments for your child.
Newer equipment isn't about gadgets — it's about less radiation, fewer goopy impressions, and shorter time in the chair. Here's what we use and why it makes your child's visit easier.
3D CBCT and panoramic unit
This single imaging system pairs a panoramic X-ray with cone beam CT (CBCT), capturing both 2D and 3D views of the teeth, jawbone, sinuses, and surrounding structures in high detail.
The panoramic view gives a broad overview, while the 3D CBCT adds precise, three-dimensional detail that supports careful planning for orthodontics and oral surgery. Combining both into one machine means fewer separate scans for your child.
Cordless intraoral scanners
Instead of a mouthful of traditional impression material, we use a small handheld wand to capture detailed 3D images of your child's teeth and gums.
Being cordless, the scanner is easy to move and more comfortable to sit through. It produces accurate digital impressions in real time — useful for crowns, aligners, and other treatment — with no goopy trays involved.
LightScalpel CO₂ laser
The LightScalpel carbon dioxide (CO₂) laser is a precise soft-tissue tool. It uses a focused beam of light that treats tissue with minimal bleeding, reduced swelling, and faster healing than traditional methods.
That makes it a good fit for procedures like frenectomies and other soft-tissue work, where its ability to cut, seal, and disinfect at once keeps treatment gentle and minimally invasive.
Digital X-ray sensors and handheld units
Our digital X-ray sensors capture high-resolution images of the teeth instantly, using less radiation than old-fashioned film.
Images appear on the computer right away, so diagnosis and treatment planning move faster — and they're easy to store, enhance, and share with you as we explain what we see.
